Crystal Sandoval – Fresno State Jordan College Day of Giving Student Spotlight

November 7, 2019

Hi, my name is Crystal Sandoval, and I am
a senior from Woodlake, and also a student worker in our campus orchards. I was drawn to a plant science degree so I
could carry on my family farming tradition, and fondly remember picking oranges with my
grandfather when I was five years old. Today, I get vital experience in crop production
management both in classes and in the orchards. After I graduate, I hope to get my Pest Control
Advisor license and work in the citrus industry. I also get great hands-on experience as a
soil judging team member and competed against students from across the country at the national
contest last spring. Thank you for all your Day of Giving gifts
that support our campus farm, scholarships, and Dean’s Fund For Excellence, and help prepare
our students to feed the Central Valley and the world.
